Instructors: Sarah Lucht and Amy Newman
March 10 - March 31 (Tuesdays, 6:30PM - 9:30PM)
Designed for maximum flexibility, this on-going (students may sign up in four-week increments January through May) scene study class will explore and refine the process of embodying character, listening to, and being impacted by, their scene partner, and making compelling and dynamic choices in their work.
Amy and Sarah will utilize multiple approaches to scene work, from Meisner to Uta Hagen, with an emphasis on Stanislavsky’s foundation of objective, obstacle, and tactics. Integrating simple “Open Scenes” with scripted work from contemporary playwrights, we will explore breath and body work to support emotional availability; and develop and hone vocal and physical technique to support the actor’s unique response and expression.
Enrollment Cost: $175
